E. Gordon Riley Magothy River Association Scholarship
This scholarship is named after E. Gordon Riley, one of the founders of the Magothy River Association (MRA). Mr. Riley and several other watershed residents formed the MRA in 1946 to oppose a plan to establish and air base in the watershed. The MRA is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the water quality, plants, and wildlife of the Magothy River and its watershed.

James Sweeney taught science at Franklin High School in Reisterstown, MD for 33 years. When he and his wife Marian married in 1948, her commitment to education enabled him to earn a master's degree and support his daughters through college debt-free. Jim Gutman Magothy River Association Scholarship
This scholarship is named in honor of one of the most active members of the Magothy River Association (MRA) in the 1970's, '80's and '90's, who served as Chairman of the Zoning Committee. The MRA is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the water quality, plants, and wildlife of the Magothy River and its watershed.
Jimmie M. Porter Scholarship
After retiring from the National Security Agency, Jimmie M. Porter came to AACC in 1984. During his time at AACC, he helped grow the Electronic Data Processing program from 4 certificate options to 34 options, an AA degree, 5 certificates and 2 letters of recognition. He passed away suddenly, and this scholarship was established in his memory to encourage and support students pursuing studies in Computer Technology.

This scholarship was established in 1997 by the Anne Arundel County Association of REALTORS to provide a scholarship for members, dependents, or employees.
John and Dorothy Palmer Memorial Scholarship
John Palmer joined the college in 1968 to establish the Business Division and was its first chairman. A proven administrator, he assumed the role of Dean of Technical and Career Education in 1980. During his tenure, many new academic programs were developed and offered, including Paramedic, Medical Assisting, Radiologic Technology and Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Leonard was a huge fan of dance, and Marcy directed the dance program at Bates College for 42 years. Funds are given to students who demonstrate academic integrity, and talent in dance.

Mary Boyd Memorial Scholarship
Mary Boyd graduated from University of Maryland, receiving her BSN and MSN specializing in Gerontology. Her career spanned over 40 years in areas such as medical surgical, endoscopy, and acute rehabilitation specialists. She was an adjunct faculty member at AACC since 2000, teaching in the lab, classroom and clinical settings. She was a valuable member of the faculty and touched many student lives in the course of teaching.
Mary Catherine Butler Memorial Scholarship
Ms. Butler attended Miner Teacher's College in Washington D.C. Her education led her to a stellar career with the State Department and ultimately a position as Press Secretary to Shirley Temple Black (the former Ambassador to Chana, Africa). Understanding the importance of education, Ms. Butler was a life-long mentor and advocate. This scholarship is a legacy gift to honor Ms. Butler's work and passion for education.

The Reentry Scholarship Intiative was established to help people who are leaving incarceration and enrolled in workforce development programs at AACC. Ronald M. Randazzo Memorial Scholarship
Ronald Randazzo was a graduate of Glen Burnie High School who had enrolled in the law enforcement program at Anne Arundel Community College when he was called to serve in the Desert Storm operation. He was the first casualty from Maryland. The scholarship was originally funded through memorial gifts in honor of the sacrifice he made.

TasteWise Kids Scholarship
This scholarship is named after the non-profit TasteWise Kids. This organization educates children on the relationship of food, farm, and the table through hands-on programming with chefs, farmers, and other food professionals. The scholarship is to assist AACC students in their academic pursuits of a degree in baking and pastry arts, culinary arts or hospitality management.

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to eligible full-time students who are actively pursuing studies in health sciences.
Teresa Denice McCarty Scholarship
Established in honor of Teresa Denice McCarty, this scholarship provides assistance to students who are pursuing studies in the Radiologic Technology Program.
Tess Richards Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Tess Richards, who passed at age eight in March, 2022 from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a rare malignant brain tumor normally diagnosed in children ages six or seven, for which there is no cure. She wanted to study nursing, just like her Mom, and shared her interest in a school assignment when she said, ‘I want to be a nurse because I can help people.’. The donor who established this scholarship, attended medical school at the University of Virginia. He received a partial scholarship, and has never forgotten the generosity of the donors, who assisted in the fulfillment of his dream of “helping people”. He and his wife want to support AACC students who are pursuing a career in nursing, to assist them in becoming healthcare providers of excellence, so that they also will be able have an impact on the healthcare of others who live and work in our community.

Theodore and Joan Little Memorial Scholarship
Joan Little enjoyed her time with a local pediatric medical practice where she supported the doctor and nurses for the majority of her professional career. Joan battled several bouts of cancer throughout her life, and was very appreciative of the care she received during those difficult times. This scholarship honors her work and appreciation for health care professionals.

The TonyRose Foundation was established with the goal of giving back to the community. Founded by long-time Anne Arudel County residents, the foundation and its members have decided to support future nurses, recognizing the value of their service and the difference they make.
Tucker Rainbow Scholarship
This scholarship honors those who are part of the LGBTQI community and believe in the promotion of equal rights and acceptance of this community. The donor believes in and supports the mission of AACC to be a diverse and inclusive campus to all students.
Verizon Scholarship
The Verizon Scholarship was established to provide assistance to eligible students who are Anne Arundel County residents, have graduated from a high school in the northern part of the county and have completed 15 credits at AACC.
W. Ray Huff, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established to honor the memory of W. "Ray" Huff Jr. In addition to being a long time local business owner serving customers in the insurance industry, Mr. Huff served two terms in the House of Delegates from 1986 to 1994. He was also a philanthropist, supprting many local organizations.
